4th Annual     

Champions for Children Banquet

The 4th Annual Champions for Children Banquet will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 11:30a.m.-1p.m. at the Lubbock Country Club.  Former Lady Raider and current Bean Elementary Principle Crystal Boles will be the guest speaker at this event.  Boles believes early education is important before children reach school and will talk about how parents and teachers can work together to prepare children for school.

The Champions for Children Banquet is an opportunity to recognize the wonderful people and groups who support Early Childhood Programs.  This years honorees are:

            Paula Jones (LISD Early Childhood Coordinator)--Robbie McGrew Award

            Louise Sullivan (LISD Teacher) and Becky Geist (LISD School Nurse)--ISD Teacher Award

           Michelle Hunter (Erskine ELC Teacher)--Childcare Teacher Award

            Tomas Resendez (Former TTU Jumpstart Volunteer)--ELC Youth Volunteer

            Success By Six (United Way)--Champion for Children Award
